Retirement Philippines, has more pros than cons, come and have a look… Why retire in the Philippines? Interesting question, maybe not as easy to answer as you thought. Retiring in the Philippines is a huge commitment and not one to be taken lightly. It is one thing to have a fantastic holiday and think gee I would love to live here, but it is another thing to actually live and breathe Philippines retirement. There is no doubt, like everything in life, there are pros and cons and retiring in the Philippines is no different. Retirement Philippines — The Cons Infrastructure You must remember that the Philippines is a third world country and the infrastructure that you enjoy and probably take for granted back home, is nowhere near as efficient or dependable. While all is widely available in the Philippines it does not always function consistently and in a manner your use to.

Hong Kong is a relatively small island with a little extra in terms of land and some other things. While at times it can seem a little overwhelming, hot, crowded and in a lot of places dirty, the right approach can reveal the sunnier side of things, at least from the perspective of the randy man. The truth is that despite everything else Hong Kong is one of the easiest places to get laid in the world. Surely some of that exists but what else would you expect from a place like Hong Kong?
And to be honest, I think a lot of the people who complain abut Hong Kong and especially the women who live there are just bitter about their own failings.

The embassy asked if he could teach German and, six months later, he had a work visa for Beijing, which was changed to Shanghai after he had arrived in China via Czechoslovakia and Russia. Shanghai was in the early stages of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, and increasingly hostile to foreigners as well as to scholarly endeavour. The Chinese teacher Burger hired was criticised for associating with a foreigner and the German was one of just three users of the Shanghai public library.
Two years later, in , the school in Shanghai where he taught was shut down and Burger was invited to become a sheep farmer in Suzhou. What one can learn from how the Qing dynasty ran its show is that, although they were good book-keepers — much better than the British or the Germans — they did a lousy job of making a system of their economy. Burger turned to LMU to pursue a doctorate, but when he asked his professors if he could study Chinese numismatics, they were baffled.
Burger began by looking at Qing records, but quickly found he needed to compare them with actual coins, and that he needed to study Manchu. The Qing dynasty produced millions of coins annually, but Burger started his collection with a mere two million. A friend in Hong Kong, Lau Chi-man, imported scrap metal from Indonesia, where Qing cash was in circulation until the Japanese occupation in the s.
The rest he used as scrap metal.

Although some readers might miss it, I think those who read the blog very closely will notice that this British woman was dating a Chinese man only as a project in connection with writing a general column about interracial dating. She was just dating this man as one of many other tasks to write about her experiences. My only guess is that she has also dated men of many other ethnicities, including non-Asians such as African-Americans and Latinos.
I do oppose her post, or at least the implications from it, or how she characterized the date. Her use of sarcasm was mean-spirited. That said, you have to be fair and realize that if her description of the date is accurate, the man was unworthy. At some point, you have to put your foot down, and even if she is the foreigner in another land, if this man truly wanted to get to know her better, that means respecting her cultural norms and she must respect his.
He ought to take charge. He should be proactively planning the date. He should maintain an interesting and active conversation with her to express his desire to get to know her better. The Asian men that truly desire to be with western women in body, mind, and soul have the initial responsibility of bridging the cultural gap. In the internet age, there is absolutely no excuse for social ineptness or provincialism, and if he desires her that much, he needs to learn.
